The UN's Day of Peace celebrates the dream and vision of a harmonious union of the countries and peoples of the entire world. At the same time, we would like to make it a day where we allow ourselves to be inspired by new ideas, projects and actions that can create change in the world and bring us closer together. 

" In a global world we are connected and need each other, and therefore it is necessary to work towards a society and world of interdependence, shared prosperity and universal values. We must see our common humanity, one big human family rather than different skin colors, nationalities and religions. It is a prerequisite for lasting and genuine peace that all people experience that they can flourish.

 I feel grateful and blessed. We are paying thanks to all the Peace activists and Ambassadors who have taken time to support and practice Peace in unity, diversity and freedom of prejudice.

It is a legendary and exclusive lineup of speakers and musicians giving tribute at Universal Peace Federations UN Peace celebration, at Christianborg Parliament.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has decided that the theme for this year's Peace Day is: "Stop racism. Build peace." He notes, among other things, "Racism continues to poison institutions, social structures and everyday life in every society. It remains a driving force behind persistent inequality. It denies people their basic human rights, destabilizes societies, undermines democracies, erodes the legitimacy of governments, and . . . the links between racism and gender inequality are unmistakable.

On Saturday, November 25th 2017, she was the main speaker of a major event at the National Museum of Denmark, which aims to create a platform for debate on how to create a globally sustainable society with space for all of us in a peaceful and fruitful coexistence. As her father and South Africa's Freedom fighter in the struggle against Apartheid,

She shared her thoughts and anecdotes from a life, where art as expressions was considered a threat to the existing regime, and the right to express oneself was suppressed. With grate gratitude and warmth the Ambassador point to her late mother Winnie Mandela, as a true warrior for freedom. " When you strike a woman, you strike a rock" The Ambassador stated. This event, based on the UNESCO Convention's objective of protecting cultural diversity, an exclusive range of speakers made contributes and held subsequent debate. with a focus on intercultural dialogue and participation.
